Casting Aluminum Molds
1. Design: Prepare the mold design drawings and confirm the design with the client.
2. Machining: According to the drawings, use a CNC machine tool to machine the casting model.
3. Casting: After inspecting the model, carry out precision sand casting.
4. Assembly: After the casting is completed, assemble the mold base.
5. Sampling: After inspecting the completion of the assembly, produce samples.
6. QC: The QC will measure whether the dimensions of the samples are qualified according to the drawing specifications and send the samples to the client.
High production efficiency
The die-casting machine has a high degree of automation and can quickly complete actions such as mold clamping, injection, pressure holding, and mold opening. The molding cycle is short, and multiple products can be die-cast per minute, which is suitable for large-scale mass production and greatly increases the output.
High dimensional accuracy
The liquid metal fills the mold cavity under high pressure, which can accurately replicate the shape and dimensions of the cavity. The dimensional tolerance can be controlled within ±0.05mm or even smaller, and the surface finish is high, reducing subsequent processing procedures.
Good strength and density
The liquid metal solidifies under high pressure, resulting in a dense internal structure, reducing defects such as air holes and looseness, and improving the strength, hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance of the mold, thus extending the service life of the mold.
Strong ability to form complex shapes
Multiple components can be integrated, and molds with complex structures such as those with internal runners and special-shaped chambers can be formed in one die-casting process, reducing the assembly process and improving the integrity and reliability of the mold.
High material utilization rate
The liquid metal is directly injected into the cavity, resulting in low material loss. Waste materials such as gates and risers can be recycled and reused, reducing costs.
Low cost for mass production
Although the initial investment in die-casting equipment is large, during large-scale production, due to high efficiency, high material utilization rate, and long mold life, the cost allocated to each mold is significantly reduced.
